One of the core understandings at ADF is that we need each other. If you are passionate about religious freedom and want your work to make a difference, this is absolutely the place for you. The advice here would be to just be careful about which department you join, and note it can be difficult to switch departments. It is however important to note while this may have been going on in some departments others seemed to have a great culture. At times it seems there was a lack of appreciation for employees among some members of management. Certain members of management also made promises that weren’t always kept to employees about work arrangements. At times it felt more like career advancement had more to do with how well you clicked with certain people in management rather than skills, ability, and character. Career advancement was particularly difficult if you didn’t have the right connections. There was a heavy lack of communication and management held their employees to different standards than they themselves were willing to meet. While the CEO and executive team were phenomenal some departments weren’t so much. Unfortunately the separate departments overrode this allowance for team members making some feel compelled to come in. During covid the executive team made sure everyone felt like they could work from home if they needed to without judgement. He takes each new employee to a lunch in groups to make sure he knows everyone he works with. The CEO is extremely humble and does his best to make every employee at every level feel valued. And, it keeps going – they have maternity and paternity leave, they - more.ĪDF is a great place with a great mission. They have 11 paid holidays, 16 days of paid time off for new hires, and they often give "gift days" during Christmas. They have vision, dental, life, and disability insurance. The company pays 100% of health insurance premiums and contributes to the team member's health savings account. ADF routinely monitors compensation to ensure we pay a competitive market wage compared to similar nonprofits. The organization has excellent benefits and compensation. The success of the company depends on the success of all the team members, not just one person. We aim to promote people and advance their careers at the company. We work hard to make stars of each, rather than trying to garner self-recognition. And, the company hosts monthly organization-wide meetings to increase communication and collaboration on critical projects. All team members are welcome to participate in the LinkedIn education video series to advance their skills. The team members sincerely care for each other both personally and professionally, and it is common to take a moment to pray for one another.ĪDF encourages ongoing professional development, including an executive mentoring coach for all managers for the past 3+ years with no plan to stop. The company culture is superb, and regularly reviews aspects of the culture for continuous improvement. The organization adheres to Christian values, cares for all its staff and customers, and works hard to be a voice of reason in our area of work. There are numerous positive reasons to work at ADF.
